Good Morning!
This week is conference week; we have half days Wednesday- Friday- 12:20 dismissal.
This week we will continue to work on geometry in math. Ask your fourth grader to show you parallel and intersecting lines, right, obtuse and acute angles with their arms and hands! We will take our 3rd cumulative assessment this week, as well as our first benchmark assessment. In literacy we will review all of the prefixes we have learned so far because we will have a sorting quiz next week. We will also continue reading Island of the Blue Dolphins. In science we will review for our assessment Wednesday on thermal energy, insulators and conductors. The assessment will be an application problem so students will need to understand what thermal energy is and the difference between insulators and conductors. They have 3 flash cards they can use to study. In social studies we will continue to learn about California's first people, we will be doing an in class project with this information next week. In religion we will learn about how all people are created in god's image and discover how failure to love leads to sin. We have our first gateway to art this Friday!
Have a great week!!!
